PS Continuous Transfer Pedestal Kicker Configuration

The schematic of the pedestal generator is shown below. The adapted single-turn lumped inductance magnet is pulsed from a 12-cells artificial Pulse Forming Network (PFN) generator via six parallel transmission cables. The PFN is positively charged from a pulsed resonant power supply. The reflection generated by the L/R load, and the ensuing partial refusal of the main switch thyratron to conduct, is largely absorbed by the filter at the switch cathode.
